That versatility is really what makes a great Strat a great Strat. The five-way selector, master volume and dual tone controls give you an enormous range without making things complicated. Glassy cleans, warm blues leads, funky rhythm chops, jangly indie tones, screaming rock leads and fuzzed-out late-’60s psychedelia are all right there. Add some spring reverb, a little Uni-Vibe, maybe a fuzz pedal, and things can get wonderfully weird very quickly.
